Joanne was recently honoured by her peers, winning TWO design awards at the CDECA annual design competition. Joanne took home GOLD for "Best Bathroom Renovation Over $25k," and a BRONZE in the "Commercial" category for the Molson Boardroom project. She is an accredited member of the "Canadian Decorators' Association." (CDECA)Joanne began her design career in the early nineties in Montreal, which is her home base. She expanded WGP to include Ottawa in 2002. She travels regularly between the two cities, serving clients and overseeing projects in both metropolitan areas. Joanne has helped countless homeowners over the years with everything from paint colour selection to full scale, "tear-out the walls" renovations. She lectures regularly on the topic of design and decorating, and has been a guest speaker at Algonquin College, the Canada Revenue Agency, and WITNC (Women in the New Century.) Her informative yet humorous seminars at WITNC have consistently been among the most popular workshops offered at the annual conference. She gives back to the design community by holding Q&A sessions for decorating students at local colleges and participating as a mentor for students doing their practicums. She also donated her time and talents on the Bruce House Designer Showcase. Her work has been featured in magazines and newspapers, and she is interviewed regularly on various topics of decorating and design. She has also been approached on several occasions to host her own television show! Stay tuned for news on that front!Kelly is based in Ottawa, and has created fabulous spaces for many happy WGP clients! She has terrific design ideas, and can handle every aspect of your project with design-savvy flair. Her practical approach has earned her a great reputation with the trades, as well as with clients. She has a love of textiles, an eye for colour and an excellent knowledge of art. She has designed kitchens, bathrooms, built-ins, and is in her element when selecting every piece of furniture, art and accessories going into a space. Her enthusiasm and creativity make her a pleasure to have working on your home.Emily is also based in Ottawa. She has an innate sense of colour, and does beautiful renderings and concept sketches for those that need that extra step to help visualize the finished product. Prior to joining Wow Great Place, she worked for a kitchen/bath cabinetry showroom, guiding clients through the myriad of choices involved in designing a new kitchen. Emily has taught colour theory at Algonguin College, and is an accomplished artist. Her passion for design is evident in everything she does. Ask her what her favourite part of design is, and she'll tell you it's spatial planning, drawing, working with fabrics, picking colours, selecting finishes and furniture, really everything!
